We’re all familiar with the classic Sea Monkeys, but did you ever wonder if your Sea Monkeys get lonely? Well, now you don’t have to worry about it. EnterSea Dragons: a cousin of the salty simian, but they get bigger and some will argue even cuter! Gives a new meaning to Dragon Races! For the every friendly tank cleaner, also pick up Teeny Weeny Winkle Snails which you can put in the same tank with your Sea Monkeys and Sea Dragons. The snails will happily clean the gunk off the sides of the tank to make everyone happy!

I remember watching Bill Nye the Science Guy on TV many years ago! Now you can get some wonderful science kits. There’s the Balloon Powered Land Racer, Bubble blower and more. Check out the Bill Nye Science Kits. My favorite is the Paper Recycling Factory by Bill Nye With the green emphasis everywhere, it’s great for kids to learn how to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Science in the classroom should be fun and now it can be with these great classroom science kits. Our favorite is the Insta-Worms classroom kit which makes every kid go “ewwww” and “gross” and a brain-full of learning! Watch very cool dinosaur plants spring to life with the dinosaur plant classroom kit — a perennial favorite!
Last but not least, if you need the perfect scoring system, check out Eggspert which is a jeopardy-like scoring tool for all your classroom games.

As you look for the best christmas gifts to buy, think about something that can teach kids responsibility. A live creature is a great low risk way to do that. most ant farms and bug kits are fairly inexpensive and a great way to have kids be responsible for feeding/watering/etc…
Depending on where you live, the ants themselves may not be available to ship in the winter since they would die in the mail, but don’t worry, as soon as spring hits, the bugs will be crawling!

with all the recalls and product safety concerns, there are still a few high quality science kits made in the usa. There are some wonderful kits available so you can rest easy knowing that they were manufacturered in the states. All toys still have to meet the same standards, however, so be aware of that.
speaking of safety, another serious caution for parents is to be aware of the age appropriateness of toys. So, keep toys with small parts away from small children. choking hazards are real, but can be avoided. get a small parts tester to check and see if an object is a choking hazard.
